Steve Macmillans association with MPA began in 1990 and during the past 23 years he has steered the company to achieve various milestones from a business and technical perspective. Identifying market trends and understanding how to apply technology to help address organisational and business challenges are strengths Steve brings to the company. Having a long term involvement in the industry has seen Steve introduce and work with an extensive  range of vendors in the New Zealand market  including Wyse, Citrix, Secure Computing (now McAfee), Synoptics and SafeNet.

Mark Micklefield manages our team of experts and brings 18  years' experience in enterprise IT solution design and sales across UK, Europe and New Zealand. His areas of expertise include networking, security and control systems which he has developed from an initial background in automation and and supercomputer systems design in the UK. Mark has managed technical projects like developing fluid dynamic and GIS modelling systems for European Research institutes through to solving enterprise business problems such as securing the national networks of major utilities.  In the UK he managed consortiums of software development and integration partners to deliver complex IT management solutions for Top100 finance and infrastructure companies. In NZ at MPA he has consulted with finance, utility, government and telecommunications enterprises to manage the design and deployment of security and network management solutions for organisations such as TVNZ, Mighty River Power, ASB Bank, Meridian and Contact Energy. Mark has a BSC in Engineering and an MSc in Information Systems.

Mikhail Fisher has 4 years business development and customer service experience in the commercial infrastructure services, environmental protection and information technology industry in New Zealand. Mikhail provided business solutions to over 8000 customers and has helped manage the launch of two large council contracts, working closely with the South Waikato District Council and Masterton City Council. Mikhail now focuses his expertise on helping NZ companies in the user virtualisation space, helping them standardise the desktop build, automate desktop and application delivery, and migrate users to new desktops.  He is also a specialist in two factor authentication. Mikhail is qualified in representative selling and sales management.

Jon Flatley has nine years' experience in sales and logistics across UK and New Zealand. His areas of expertise include Thin Computing, wireless connectivity and Surveillance over IP. Jon has managed projects reducing the cost of desktop computing across central/local Government departments and corporations, helped design IP surveillance networks for various corporate clients and schools and implemented high-speed building to building wireless networks.  During his time at MPA Jon has consulted with organisations such as Department of Corrections, Lyttleton Port, New Zealand Defence Force, Fonterra, Taupo District Council and Kiwibank.

Ed Vella has 22 years' experience in IT solution design, support and implementation across Australia and New Zealand. His areas of expertise include networking, IT security and server based computing.  As a technical consultant he is able to understand the business problems and suggest solutions to address these.  Ed has an Electronic Engineering Certificate, Medical Electronics Certificate, and Diploma in Engineering Management, is a Microsoft Certified Professional, has completed his CCNA course and is technically certified in all products distributed by MPA.

Jaco has 8 years experience within the IT sector across United Kingdom, South Africa and New Zealand.  His areas of expertise include all aspects of security, including perimeter, web, email, network and managed security and cloud computing.  In South Africa he managed a portfolio of customers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA region) with large enterprise companies including government departments, banking and financial, defence organisations.  His expertise is now focused on the protection of high-value information assets, helping NZ companies to protect and manage their security systems throughout their lifecycles.  Jaco holds an Electrical Engineering Diploma from Cape Town Tech and Microsoft Certified professional certificate.

Charles has 19 years experience working with enterprise customers in the telecommunication, training and IT industry, across Australia, United Kingdom, the Pacific and New Zealand. His areas of expertise include IT security, networking software solutions and certification which he has developed from an initial background in certification. At MPA Charles consults with NZ organisations to help them protect the transfer of intellectual property, to ensure compliance, improve business productivity and reduce costs.  Charles is also an expert in desktop security management and consults with utility companies, large corporate enterprise and government agencies to help manage the design and security of their networks.
